This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Amara Baby Food and is 100% my own opinion. Amara Baby Food has not influenced, nor reviewed this post prior to it going live.
Per usual, I am a few days behind. I was hoping to have this posted on Friday but instead it's Sunday. Better late than never, eh?
As a blogger and mama, I often times get the opportunity to try new and improved products and review them. This one was for a baby food company and as you all know, I'm a baby food making fool. No pre-made baby food in our house, until Amara Baby Food contacted me. Their products are ridiculously amazing and so convenient. Of course an actual banana could be used but if you already have the Amara baby food in the house, and trust me you'll want to run and get some, why not use it?!
The neat thing about Amara is that their products are made from simple ingredients. Their banana baby food consists of 1 simple ingredient: organic dried bananas. It is created by using a unique dehydration process that preserves not only the taste but also the nutrients! This is unique to other baby food brands in that most contain other ingredients and are heated at very high temperatures which compromise the quality. Those baby foods then lose a significant amount of nutrients and vitamins in order to keep the shelf life, which is one of the main reasons I've always opted for making our own baby food. They are often times filled with additives and fillers such as maltodextrin, sunflower lecithin, etc. in order to cut costs, add color, artificial flavors and texture to the food.
Amara Baby Food is gluten-free and non-gmo certified, which is another pro. No refrigeration is necessary, carry the packets wherever you go and just add breastmilk, formula or water... ta-da! I even tasted the baby food prior to adding it to the muffin mix and it tasted just like pureed bananas, even smelled and looked like a ripe banana! Since my little ones are past the baby food stage, I decided to incorporate the baby food into muffins. My toddlers love muffins and whenever I can get some added nutrients in their snacks, save money and it's convenient I go for it.
These muffins are so tasty and convenient. Bananas and avocados, what more to love? My kids ate 8 muffins within 10 minutes of them cooling off and I had to keep them from eating more. I had 3 myself, 2 of which were full size AND the hubs ate a full size one as well, all 4 of us approved!
