I can't believe it's Halloween already, the year is flying by! We have had warmer than average temperatures here in Oklahoma so we ((don't let me fool you, my Mimi)) decided to make fabulous costumes for A & S that would fair well with warm weather and guess what?!? It's cold today! Highs in the 50's... I know, I know that's warm compared to many parts of the country but our costumes are meant to be worn in warm weather! Looks like we'll be adding some under layers and hoping for the best. In the meantime, we were able to wear them as they are to a Halloween party last week and let me tell you, they rocked them!
Halloween isn't one of my favorite holidays. After all, I'm not a fan of trick or treating or scary things but oh my goodness picking out costumes for little ones, especially twins, is so much fun! I am taking full advantage of the few years I have to choose their costumes and coordinate them without any opposition. It also helps when someone in the family has pretty sweet sewing skills and can make one of a kind costumes for a great price. A big shout out to my wonderful Mimi for making their costumes this year!
Mom of the year here, I didn't realize until last night that I completely forgot to get A & S a bag or bucket for their goodies, a Target bag will have to do. That's what happens when you don't let your kids eat candy at this age. But, HELLO... daddy needs a few treats and fingers crossed somebody hands out something other than candy. If not, the grandparents have already given them a few non-food treats and don't worry they are completely satisfied with that... who doesn't love a Halloween themed Hello Kitty stuffed animal, a cute Halloween spider and fabulous Halloween pillows?!
Hope you all have a safe, sweet, scary and fun-filled Halloween! I would love to see all of your awesome costumes so head on over to my Facebook page and show em' off! I promise to post a few more pictures from our evening as well.
Be on the look out for an awesome new recipe later today too!
